Outlook Express stores all messages of a mail folder in a corresponding .dbx file. For example, the Inbox.dbx file contains messages that are displayed in the Inbox mail folder in Outlook Express, the Outbox.dbx file contains messages that are displayed in the Outbox mail folder, and so on.
If a dbx file is corrupt and you cannot operate the corresponding mail folder in Outlook Express, then please use Advanced Outlook Express Repair to repair the dbx file and recover your messages from it. The recovered messages are saved as .eml files that can be easily imported back to Outlook Express.

You can input the dbx or mbx filename directly or click button to browse and select the file. You may also click button to find the dbx or mbx file to be repaired on the local computer. |

| By default, Advanced Outlook Express Repair will output all the recovered messages in directory xxxx_recovered, where xxxx is the name of the corrupt dbx or mbx file. For example, for file Inbox.dbx, the default output directory will be Inbox_recovered. If you want to use another directory, then please select it accordingly: |

Click button, Advanced Outlook Express Repair will start recovering mails from the corrupt dbx or mbx file. Progress bar will indicate the repair progress.
After the repair process, if any messages have been recovered from the dbx or mbx file successfully, you will see a message box like this:

Now you can open a recovered message with Outlook Express by double-clicking the icon of a .eml file in the output directory. Or import multiple messages into a mail folder in Outlook Express. |
